Cities are crowded places but I am always fascinated by the structures and forms within them. Photographing this body of work, I start off in the midst of the crowd and then strangely I find myself isolated away from them, in search of ordinary objects or structures that are seen everyday. Photographing and processing them in a way where you can’t quite grasp what or where the context of the image is. That is when the details around me are visible. It's like a piece of a puzzle, when the piece is by itself you have no idea where or how the piece will fit in. It is an image of its own and you would have to examine very closely at the details to actually know where it would fit. Each image portrays a fragment of the serenity I feel while photographing the city’s ordinary forms that I find.
